Objective:The efficacy and safety of percutaneous nephrolithotomy with duallumen catheter and Holimium laser were studied for renal staghorn calculi.Method:The materials of127cases kidney staghorn stone patients from Sept2010to Jan2013in the department of urology, first hospital of Jilinuniversity were analysed retrospectively.50cases were procedured bydual lumen catheter ultrasonic lithotripsy (group A), and77cases wereprocedured by Holimium laster lithoripsy (group B). The procedure time、hemorrhage volum、 one-staged stone clearance rate、 postoperativecomplications、length of hospital stay and cost of hospitalization betweenthe two groups were compared.Results:F24percutaneous renal access of the127cases patients were allsuccessfully established under one-stage PCNL. One-staged stoneclearance rate (70%vs79%P>0.05)、hospitalization time (11.8+1.88days vs11.39+1.81days, P>0.05), postoperative complications rate(19813.21+-1717.16CNY vs18956.261+-1867.34CNY,P>0.05)are notobserved significant differences; There are significant differences inoperative time (71.10+—19.9ml vs108.11+—42.67ml P<0.05), and hemorrhage volume (88.83+28.3ml vs116.3+27.5ml P<0.05).Conclusion:Two methods have the same clinical effects for renal staghorn calculi, but Dual lumen catheter ultrasonic lithotripsy has less hemorrhage volumeand shorter operative time compared with Holimium laser lithotripsy. Duallumen catheter ultarsonic lithotripsy is safer and effective method thanHolimium laser for lithotripsy.
