Background: Esophagus rupture is a rare disease of the thoracicsurgery which appeared as common emergency in chest and abdomen. Itis easy to be misdiagnosed and has a high mortality. Early diagnose andsufficient treatment is significant to decrease the mortality and increasethe prognosis, it is also a challenge to clinical doctor now.Targets: Summarizing the clinical feature, way to diagnose andtreatment to the disease to enhance the acknowledgement in order to giveaccurate diagnose and treatment as soon as possible. Get a decrease inmortality and complications, get a better prognosis in the end..Methods: Review13cases in the department during2010to2012which all clarified by observing drainage tube, CT scan, endoscopy andsurgery. Clinical resources: There are12men and1woman,whose agesare between29to77with a average51.33.7of13are spontaneousesophagus rupture after vomiting or heavy eating or drinking,4of13gota history of foreign body considering which cause the rupture,2of13gotthe esophagus rupture by medical factors. Considering the time intervaland general situation,7of13got operations include esophagus exclusionin phase I and rebuild digestive tract in phase II, remedy of the brokenmouth, remedy by endoscope and esophageal stent implantation.6of13got support conservative treatment and thoracic closed drainage.Results: All the patients are considered or verified of esophagusrupture by all kinds of tests before operation.4are diagnosed in24hoursafter attack,6got misdiagnosed before.7got operations and1died afteroperation.2died by support conservative treatment in6patients.Conclusion:Early diagnosis especially effective treatment in24hours is very important to decrease the mortality and got a better prognosis.Handling operation time and give different operations todifferent patients, positive surgery treatment can decrease themortality.The patients who can’t stand with the operations should gavehighly evaluation then choose positive drainage and support.
