ObjectiveThis experiment compared the size of the micro-leakage after vitro fillingby three materials (common glass ionomer cement (GIC), reinforced glassionomer cement FXⅡ a nd contain8%hydroxyapatite (HAP) glass ionomer),and studied the influence of temperature changes on the three glass cementedge sealing ability, providing evidence for the clinic selection, and offeringcertain theoretical basis for the future clinical application of hydroxyapatiteglass ionomer cement.MethodsTo choose60health premolars, dividing into3groups randomly, that’s Agroup, B group and C group. Each group was filled by common glass ionomercement, reinforced glass ionomer cement FXⅡ and containing8%hydroxyapatite glass ionomer cement. GIC group, FXⅡgroup and HAP-GICgroup were further divided into two groups, namely the experimental groupand the control group. The experimental group was handled by cold and hotcirculation1200times, the control group was handled by physiological salinesoak test. Then dye penetration test was did to all samples, watching dyesinks in material the extent of the edge crack with the metallographicmicroscope, and observing glass ionomer filling materials on the edge of theclosure with scanning electron microscopy. ResultsThe dye penetration test showed that the gaps between filling materialsand the odontal tissues all had edge dye sinking. Comparing the experimentalgroup and the control group of the same kind of filling materials sealing edge:the experimental group and the control group of GIC edge sealing ability havesignificant difference (P<0.01), the experimental group and the control groupof FX Ⅱ edge sealing ability have significant difference (P<0.01), theexperimental group and the control group of HAP-GIC edge sealing abilityhave difference (P<0.05). The experimental group of three kinds of glassionomer materials edge micro-leakage are statistically significant (P<0.01).Multiple comparison of three groups edge micro-leakage between8%HAP-GIC and FXⅡhas difference (P<0.05), and the micro-leakage ofother two groups have significant difference (P<0.01); The control group ofthree kinds of glass ionomer materials edge micro-leakage are statisticallysignificant (P<0.01), Multiple comparison of three groups edge micro-leakagebetween8%HAP-GIC and FX Ⅱ has no difference (P>0.05), and thecomparisons of other two groups have significant difference (P<0.01).Overall, the edge of8%HAP-GIC closeness is best, and the minimummicro-leakage.ConclusionsThe experimental results show that the micro-leakage of ordinary GIC ismost obvious, FX Ⅱ next,8%HAP-GIC is minimum under the sametemperature process. After temperature cycle, the edge crack width ofcommon glass ionomer increased most significantly, the edge crack width of8%hydroxyapatite glass ionomer increased minimum rate.
