Flavonoid is a natural non-toxic material which has a wide range of biological activity. Some of the flavonoids with antioxidant and hypolipidemic activity have broad application prospects. In this study, total flavonoids were extracted from Aloe leaves. The anti-oxidation and hypolipidemic effects of the total flavonoids were investigated, and the mRNA expression of HSL, FAS, PPARy, ATGL and CAT were investigated to explore the effect of Aloe flavonoids on the heart, liver, spleen, kidney, lung and adipose of hyperlipidemic mice, and then the protein expression of FAS, PPARy, ATGL were investigated to explore the effect of Aloe flavonoids on the liver, adipose of hyperlipidemic mice, also the genotypes of HSL, FAS, SOD and GSH-Px were analyzed by PCR-RFLP to investigate their effects on blood-fat traits and some organ performances of mice. The results are as follows:(1) In the animal test, the Aloe flavonoids showed different effect on the traits of hyperlipidemic mice, and among which the effect of high dosages(300mg/kg/d) was the best.(2) Aloe flavonoids could affect the expression of HSL, FAS, PPARy, ATGL and CAT mRNA in some organ performance of the mice with hyperlipidemia.(3) Aloe flavonoids could affect the expression of FAS, PPARy and ATGL protein in liver and adipose of the mice with hyperlipidemia.(4) Different HSL, FAS genotypes showed different effect on blood-fat traits and some organ performance of mice.
