Objective To observe the effects of QingchangJianpiYuyang Decoction(QJYD) on macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF)、 macrophage myeloperoxidase(MPO) and inflammatory cytokines-6(IL-6) in Rats with Ulcerative Colitis, and compare effects with different administration approaches. Methods Fivety male SD rats were randomly divided into5groups: normal group, model group, SASP group, oral QJYD group, injecting QJYD group(10rats in each group).UC model was induced by trinitro-benzene-sulfonic acid (TNBS) and Alcohol. The rats in normal group and model group were injected normal saline by tube, the rats in injecting QJYD group and oral QJYD group were injected QJYD by tube, SASP group were given SASP. All rats were killed2weeks later, blood in heart of rats and blood serum of them were separated from the blood in every group, the colons were isolated for the measurement of macroscopic, histologic, and biochemical parameters of colitis. HE staining were used to observe large intestines pathological changes. The contents of IL-6in blood serum were detected with radioimmunity. Results Compared with model group, the levels of MPO, IL-6and MIF of SASP group, oral QJYD group and injecting QJYD group signifcantly decreased(P<0.05);Compared with SASP group and oral QJYD group, the levels of MPO, IL-6and MIF of injecting QJYD group significantly decreased (P<0.05).Conclusion QJYD has a good therapeutic effect on UC rats, it can lightened the symptom and pathological injury of UC rats, One of the mechanisms of QJYD cured UC rats may be related with cut down expression of MIF、the levels of MPO and pro-inflammatory cytokines IL-6, and different administration approaches have different therapeutic effects. The way of injecting were better than oral.
