Hepatitis B (HB) is one of the top ten causes of death. Chronic hepatitis due toHBV infection as a common infectious diseases, serious harm to human health. Newstudies reported that apoptosis was involved in the incidence of HB process.Endoplasmic reticulum stress (endoplasmic reticulum stress, ERS) is a new apoptosissignaling pathway to initiate apoptosis. Many studies focus on chaperone function ofCRT in recent years.Cells against endoplasmic reticulum stress protection mechanisms-the unfoldedprotein response (unfolded protein reaction, UPR), is a by many molecular chaperoneproteins including calretinin (CRT) and folding enzymes assist in the completion. When the deposition of the non-folded protein in the endoplasmic reticulum, the startof endoplasmic reticulum stress, causing the endoplasmic reticulum pathwayapoptosisCalreticulin (CRT) was an important molecular chaperone of endoplasmicreticulum stress and play a key role in apoptosis via endoplasmic reticulum. In thisstudy,45specimens of HB tissue were chosen as experimental group and15specimens of normal tissue were chosen as control group. The expression of CRT inchronic HBV infection was examined by western blot and RT-PCR.The results showed that CRT-expression in the experimental group (HBVchronic infection group) significantly increased compared with the control group, which might be because chronic HBV infection leads to increased expression of CRT,and ultimately mediated apoptosis occurred by the endoplasmic reticulumstress-mediated endoplasmic reticulum pathway. The expression of apoptosis-relatedgene Bcl-2, Bax were detected by immunoblotting. The test results showed that, compared with the control group, the expression of both Bax showed elevated,Bcl-2 Showed reduced, at the same time, Bax/Bcl-2, on behalf of the cells into apoptosis, appeared significantly raised in the chronic HBV infection group, the results confirmthe occurrence of apoptosis. Change of CRT-expression in chronic HBV infectionrevealed endoplasmic reticulum stress might be involved in HB incidence, whichprovided an experimental basis for HB incidence. The result might be able to providenew ideas for the treatment of chronic HBV infection.
