Objective: summarize the treatment experience and lessons by means ofthe analysis of large area burns dearth cases to improve the treatment successrate of large area burns patients.Methods: Through the case analysis of15large area burns patients in ourhospital burn surgery who died from October2010to October2012, to find outthe cause of death, and a summary of the treatment measures.Results: The causes of death include multiple organ function failure (MOF)in7cases, diffuse intravascular coagulation (DIC) in2cases, gastrointestinalbleeding in1case, and suffocation shedding in5cases which caused byrespiratory tract burn leading airway necrosis.Conclusions: the key points to succeed in rescuing serious burns patientsare active resistence of shock, correction of electrolyte disorders, protection ofviscera function, enhancement of respiratory tract supervision, and early stageclosing up of wound.
