| Objective:To evaluate the effect of HTK solution on myocardial protection during open-heart surgery on patients with critical valve disease.Methods:Fifty-four critical valve disease patients with operation of valve replacement were randomized and divided into three groups(each group n=18), which were separatelyreceived HTK solution, cold blood cardioplegic solution[4:1cold blood]and cold crystalloid cardioplegia [St-Thomas â…¡] cardioplegic solution during the operation. Serum level of cardiac troponin â… (cTnâ… ) and creatine kinase (CK-MB) were measured before aortic clamped30min,and2h,12h,24h,48h and72h following the end of aortic declamped. All the patients’myocardial tissues from right atrium were available for examination of the contents of malondialodehyde(MDA), adenosine triphospphate(ATP), superoxide dismutase (SOD) when the ascending aorta was cross-clamped.The clinical parameters were calculated and documented. Results: The clinical parameters including from the time of aortic declamping to auto-beating, the auto-beating rate, incidence of cardiac arrhythmia after the operation24h,inotropic drugs application were calculated as well as the use of pacemaker, HTK group was better than BC and CC groups (P<0.05). The serum levels of cTnI and CK-MB were significantly lower in groups BC and CC than group HTK(P<0.05or P<0.01).Before the aortic declamped, the contens of malondialodehyde(MDA) in group HTK were lower than groups BC and CC, the adenosine triphospphate(ATP) and the activity superoxide dismutase (SOD) were significantly higher than groups BC and CC (P<0.01)Conclusion:Comparing to traditional cardioplegic solution,HTK solution can reduce the myocardial ischemia reperfusion injury in critical valve disease patients. |
