This study attempts to research for the differences in the near term efficacy andtoxicity between ideintensity-modulated radiotherapy and three-dimensional conformalradiotherapy, and two chemotherapy, cisplatin combined with5–fluorouracil.To treatlocally advanced esophageal cancer used by tegafur synchronous intensity modulatedradiation therapy. Short-term effect were observed, to study their adverse effects andtolerated of patients, the purpose was validate clinical test as a comprehensive treatmentprogram for advanced esophageal.Select the six cases of patients undergoing radiotherapy, IMRT and3D conformalradiotherapy in3cases, analysis of comparative dosimetric distribution; select20patients of cisplatin combined with5-fluorouracil and tegafur chemotherapy tocompareboth groups the efficacy and toxicity side in20patients. Selected57cases inpatients with advanced esophageal cancer was divided into the group of surgery alone, radiotherapy alone group, tegafur chemotherapy synchronization IMRT group, thecollection of clinical treatment and follow-up data, a relatively recent effect, follow-upand one year survival rate, and put chemotherapy adverse reactions monitoring, qualityof life improvement targets and the difference among the three groups. In the dose distribution, target the appropriate shape and normal tissue protection,IMRT plan had more advantage compared with3D-CRT plans. Tegafur have bettershort-term effect than the DDP and5-Fu, but the difference was not significant; inaddition, tegafur is light for fluoride toxicity.Efficacy and one year survival rate of tegafur synchronous intensity modulatedradiation therapy group than the conventional surgery group and the radiotherapy alonegroup, respectively90.0%and61.3%,66.7%and41.2%in the conventional surgerygroup, the conventional radiotherapy group78.9%and46.8%, reflecting the synerGy ofthe effects of radiotherapy and chemotherapy. The monitoring of adverse reactions, forfluoride synchronous intensity modulated radiotherapy with conventional radiotherapygroup compared to no difference. The tegafur synchronous intensity modulatedradiation therapy on patients quality of life improvement is more obvious in radiationesophagitis, the situation of eating information. the KPS quality of life score, hemoglobin concentration, better than the other two groups. This study demonstrated better efficacy and one year survival rate of tegafursynchronous intensity modulated radio therapy in the treatment of advanced esophagealcancer, and side effects did not further increase can be tolerated for the patient, thereforeworthy of the esophagus in the latefurther attempt a new treatment of cancer.
