To investigate the expression of FOXM1in clear cell renal cell carcinoma(ccRCC) and its clinical significanceMethods:immunohistochemical staining was performed to detect the expression and positioning of FOXM1in25cases of ccRCC and25cases of normal kidney tissue. we chosed25cases of ccRCC and25cases of normal kidney tissues and assessed the expression of FOXM1in25cases of ccRCC and25cases of normal kidney tissues by western blot, in order to further validate the result of immunohistochemical stainingResults:The expression of FOX1protein was detected in the nuclei and cytoplasm of ccRCC. The positive expression rate of FOXM1was88%(22/25) and20%(5/25) in normal kidney tissue. The protein level of FOXM1in low grade tumor group (Ⅰ grade and Ⅱ grade) is low than high grade(Ⅲ grade and Ⅳ grade), the expression level of FOXM1in no lymphatic metastasis group is very low compare to lymphatic metastasis group, there are statistical significal in both group. Western blotting confirmed the immunohistochemical stainin results. Conclusion:Overexpression of FOXM1was defected in ccRCC, and it is correlated with staging or progression of the tumor. It is prompted that FOXM1plays significant roles in the oncogenesis and progression of ccRCC, which may provide an evidence to judge the prognosis of ccRCC, and FOXM1is hoped to become the new target piont of therapeutics of ccRCC.
