Objective: In order to alter the expression of Hoxa11in endometrium of mice byliposome-mediated gene transfection, and to observe the functions of Hoxa11in embryonicimplantation. Methods: At day2post coitus, pregnant mice were transfected with liposome and Hoxa11siRNA into the uterus to down-regulate the expression of Hoxa11, and the third group micedid not have any operation. At day4post coitus, the expressions of Hoxa11in the threegroups were analyzed by Real Time PCR and Western Blot. The numbers of implantationsite were also compared between these three groups at day9post coitus. Results: The expression of Hoxa11was significantly reduced in the down-regulated groupcompared with the control groups, indicating that the down-regulate model mice wereestablished successfully. Meanwhile, the number of implantation site was also significantlyaltered in the down-regulate group. Conclusion: Hoxa11plays an important role in embryonic implantation in mice.
