Objective: To investigate the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)and platelet-derived growth facto(rPDGF)in renal cell carcinoma, venous tumor thrombus(VTT)and normal renal tissue, To evaluate the clinical significance between theexpression of VEGF and PDGF. To provide the evidence for a more reasonable clinicalapplication of targeted therapy.Method: The expression of VEGF and PDGF protein was detected in15cases of renalcell carcinoma with VTT by immunohistochemistry. To analyze the difference ofexpression between the groups.Result: The positive expression rate of VEGF in normal renal tissue was13%(2/15), in renalcell carcinoma tissue was67%(10/15), the positive expression of VEGF in renal cellcarcinoma, venous tumor thrombus tissue was much more than normal renal tissue, theirdifference were significant(P<0.05).But they were no significant with the positive expressionrate of VEGF in renal cell carcinoma and venous tumor thrombus tissue(P>0.05); Thepositive expression rate of PDGF in normal renal tissue was7%(1/15), in renal cell carcinomatissue was67%(10/15), the positive expression of PDGF in renal cell carcinoma, venous tumorthrombus tissue was much more than normal renal tissue, their difference were significan(tP<0.05).But they were no significant with the positive expression rate of PDGF in renal cell carcinoma and venous tumor thrombus(P>0.05). The expression of VEGF is positivelycorrelated to the expression of PDGF in RCC with VTT (rs=1, p <0.01), there is statisticalsignificance. Conclusion: According to the positive expression of VEGF and PDGF in renal cell carcinomaand venous tumor thrombus tissue and antiangiogenic drugs has some effect of venoustumor thrombus in the renal cell carcinoma of treatment. We hypothesized that VEGF andPDGF reportors as a tumor mark of the anti-angiogenic drug effect in renal cell carcinoma, venous tumor thrombus for treatment.
