Compare with traditional sensors,optic fiber Bragg grating sensors have lots ofadvantages, such as small size,simple structure,shape variable,strong anti-jammingcapability,low loss,resistant to corrosion,high sensitivity,etc.which are extremelysuitable in measuring the evaluation of shrinkage stress and exotherm of the mostimportant material in dentistry for beauty and restoration called composite resinduring light-curing. Shrinkage and temperature changes in the composite resinmaterials during light-curing can provide a basis to the medical field to select thecomposite resin material, and has important practical significance in improving thematerial properties continuously and optimizing the treatment effect of the dentalmaterial.1.The development of optical fiber, the appearance and development, productionmethods of optical fiber Bragg grating,and as sensors,Fiber Bragg grating’s principleand application are introduced first in this thesis.The background of this study is given.2.Fiber Bragg grating sensor’s principle and performance index are expounded indetail. And full directions of the working principle of fiber Bragg grating temperaturesensors and strain sensors is given, fiber Bragg grating sensor model in the axial stressand transverse stress state is analyzed.3.Focus on the analysis of the corss-sensitivity of temperature and stressaccording to the principle of fiber Bragg grating temperature sensors and strainsensors, exposition and contrast of the exiting solutions is given.4. The latest development of the use of composite resin in dental restoration andthe advantages of its application of in dentistry are introduced, and the main problemof it is shown,too.brief analyze the exiting methods of measuring temperature andstress variation.The technical solutions to find the crux of the problem is introduced.5.The focal point and innovation point of the thesis is to put forward thatmeasuring the evaluation of shrinkage stress and exotherm during light-curing ofdental resin composites with two kind of fiber Bragg grating sensors,and theexperimental study is done.Designed the experimental apparatus,gained the result andanalyzed it.The result shows that the method we took in this experiment is feasible,and the experimental result is reliable.What we research has practical significance inmodifying composite resin material and giving full play to its advantages of dental restoration.
