The Results Of Thoracolumbar Burst Fracture Treated With Shoot Segment Pedicle Instrumentation(SSPI) And Jiegu Pills

Objective:To investigate the clinic outcome of thoracolumbar vertebral burst fractures treated with SSPI and jiegu pills。Methods:Between June in2010and December in2010, there were60patients treated in the Shandong wendeng Osteopath hospital, randomly divided into two groups, group A(control group) was given SSPI and Edible Pills., group B(experimental group)was given SSPI and Jiegu Pills。All of the cases were checked with radiography and CT pre-and post-operation to compare spinal canal volume and cobb angle, to evaluate the condition of Spinal canal decompression and rese、Frankel mark before and after operation、Vertebral height ratio、JOA mark and to record if internal fixation was loosen、extracted or fractureed.Results:Two groups of the patients have been better after operation and their Frankel marks have improved1-3degrees In the follow-up6and9months of postoperation, Rank sum test of Frankel mark, P>0.05, which shows that the condition of neural functional recovery has no significant difference; Comparing to the postoperation, the spinal volum of the two groups in the preoperation differs a lot(P>0.01),both groups don’t sign any different in the same period. The angle of the Cobb improves obviously comparing to that before operation, P<0.05, The Cobb of the both groups reveal marked discrepancy in the follow-up6and9months; The ratio of the Vertebral body height has great difference1month after operation comparing to that before operation.The follow-up result in6months and9months after operation shows: comparing to group A, group B differs greatly, in the side of keeping the angle of Cobb and the height of the centrum, the experiment group is superior to the control group; the follow-up results of the JOA mark:in reliving the low back pain, the group B is better than group A.the grafted bone become totally healed in all of the casesl-9months after operation, no situation of extraction and fracture was seen in the internal fixation.Conclusions:SSPI have very good clinical curative effect for thoracolumbar burst fracture, it could rebuild the stability of thoracolumbar to restore curvature. spinal canal anteriorlateral decompression could remove the oppress to spinal nerves by bone, promote neural function recovery.With the combination of Jiegu Pill, it could facilitate the Fracture fusion, reduce the loss of the height of vertebral clearance and maintain the spinal curvature and has Curative Effect for lightening the sequelae of lumbago of the thoracolumbar operation.
