Objective: The aim of the present study is to investigate the clinicalcharacteristics of patients with diabetic foot and further facilitate clinicaldiagnosis and treatment.Methods: A retrospective clinical analysis was conducted on these patients.Results:68.6%(59/86) of the cases were male, the rest31.4%(27/86)were female.89.5%(77/86)of the cases were at the age of50years or older.Right foots were more common than left ones. Diabetic foots were mainlyprovocated by mechanical injuries. Of the causes of diabetic foot,47.6%(41/86) were cases with peripheral neuropathy combined with lowerextremity vascular disease.32.6%(28/86) were cases with peripheralneuropathy,19.8%(17/86) were cases with lower extremity vascular disease.Peripheral neuropathies with lower extremity vascular disease were the mostcommon causes. Common pathogens of the discharge bacterial culture were Gram-negative bacilli, Gram-positive cocci.Conclusion: There were more male cases than female ones. Right foots weremore common than left ones. The patianets with peripheral neuropathy andlower limb vascular disease were mianly. Gangrene and lower extremityvascular disease were easier to be amputated.
