Objective: To analyze clinical factors influencing the recurrence in patients withhepatocellular carcinoma with portal vein tumor thrombus (PVTT) after resection. Methods: From January2003to December2008,One hundred and fifty-six patients whowere treated with semi-hepatectomy and removal of PVTT or semi-hepatectomy in ourhospital were enrolled for reviewing clinical factors. Risk factors for recurrence wereanalyzed.Multivariate analysis of risk factors for recurrence was performed using thestepwise logistic regression model.Results:The1,2and3-year cumulative survival rate ofpatients with recurrence was52.9%、35.1%、18.6%,respectively.The1,2and3-yearcumulative survival rate of patients without recurrence was83.7%、65.8%、42.6%,respectively.Multivariate analysis showed that capsule(absent/present) and TACE(yes/no)after operation were independent factors of recurrence. Conclusion: Patientswithout recurrence may result in good prognosis after resection.capsule(absent/present)and TACE (yes/no)after operation were independent factors of recurrence hepatocellularcarcinoma.
