OBJECTIVEThis experiment will be a preliminary study of breast cancer in macrophage inhibitory factor I (MIC-1) expression in breast cancer tissue and its relationship with clinical pathological parameters, Explore the role of MIC-1in breast cancer development and metastasisMETHODSThe expression of MIC-1in58cases breast carcinoma,27cases metastatic lymph node,16cases normal tissue beside carcinoma,20cases fibroadenoma were detected by immunohistochemical technique. And analysis its relation with clinical pathological factorsRESULTSThere were35cases of positive expression of MIC-1protein in58cases of breast carcinoma tissue60.3%(35/58),19cases in27cases of metastatic lymph node77.8%(19/27),5cases in15cases of normal tissue beside carcinoma0%(0/16),3cases in15cases of fibroadenoma5.0%(1/20). The differences of positive rate between breast cancer tissue and metastatic lymph node tissue expression was statistical significance p<0.05.The positive expression of MIC-1protein in breast carcinoma was statistical significant different than other teams p<0.05. Point out MIC-1 and breast cancer occurrence and development have close relationship. The expression of MIC-1was positive correlated significantly with clinical stage, Lymph node metastasis, the expression of Her-2, while no significant association was found with age, tumor size, the expression of ER, PR, Ki67.CONCLUSIONMIC-lexpression level in breast cancer was significantly elevated, and the HER-2expression and clinical staging was positively related to. MIC-land Her-2in breast cancer and the role of mechanisms need further research.
