Objective:To summarize the complications of distal radius fractures, and analysis of complications associated with the fracture type and treatment methodMethods:In the period from January2006to January2011,613patients with distal radius fracture admitted in the department of orthopedic surgery of our hospital. They were treated with various procedures according to AO fracture classification and6-month follow up medical evaluation in were recorded. Complications occur time is divided into three sections:①immediate complications (<48hours);②early complications (≥48hours,<6weeks);③later complications(≥6weeks). To summarize the complications of different periods, analyze the complications associated with fracture type and treatment method.Results:613cases, a total of178cases of complications, a rate of29.04%. According to the complications of successively points immediately appear, early appearance, appear late, including acute carpal tunnel syndrome in25patients (4%),open wound infection in25patients (4%) and reset the loss of106patients (17%) and tendon injuries15cases (2%), complex regional pain syndrome92cases (15%), traumatic arthritis103cases (17%). And different period of complications have a significant relationship with fracture type and treatment method (P<0.05)。B、C-type fractures, surrounded by plaster fixation, conservative treatment, placement of board nail,T-plate fixation have a significant relationship with acute carpal tunnel syndrome (P<0.05); B、C-type fractures, placement of board nails, T-plate, locking steel plate fixation, palmar surgical approach have a significant relationship with open wound infection (P<0.05); B、C-type fractures, conservative treatment and placement of board nails, T-plate fixation have a significant relationship with loss of fracture reduction (P<0.05); B、C-type fractures, the dorsal approach, placement of board nails, T-plate, locking steel plate fixation have a significant relationship with tendon injury (P<0.05); B、C-type fractures, conservative treatment and placement of board nails,T-plate fixation have a significant relationship with complex regional pain syndrome(P<0.05); B、C-type fractures, conservative treatment, placement of board nails, T-plate fixation, stent Kirschner wire have a significant relationship with traumatic arthritis(P<0.05).After it has been processed, most to eliminate or reduce the complications.Conclusion:1、B,C type (AO classification) fractures and surrounded by plaster bandage prone to acute carpal tunnel syndrome, loss of reduction and traumatic arthritis。2、Dorsal surgical approach prone to tendon injuries.
