Objective: This study mainly through the observation of warming needlemoxibustion combined with eight period of jin training and pure warming needlemoxibustion in the treatment of chronic lumbar muscle strain(CLMS)by means of ChineseVersion of Oswestry Dysfunction Index (CODI), Pain Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) andthe recurrence1months after the case, thus to confirm the therapeutic effects of thewarming needle group moxibustion in the treatment of CLMS and the prevention ofrecurrence role of eight period of jin, and attempted to find out the mechanism of eightperiod of jin. Methods:60patients with CLMS were randomly divided into two groups,in which warming needle moxibustion combined with eight period of jin training group(hereinafter referred to as the test group) in30cases, warming needle moxibustion group(hereinafter referred to as the control group of) in30cases. Observation the CODI andVAS changes before and after1month’s treatment, and compare the difference betweenthe two groups. The patients were followed-up for1months by CODI and VAS andcompares their differences. Results: The CODI and VAS before and after the test weresignificantly improvement of the two groups, and there is no obvious differencebetween them, thus confirming the treatment effect of warming needle moxibustion.1months after the test, the CODI and VAS of test group is obviously superior to controlgroup, thus confirms that eight period of jin training has the role of prevention recurrence.
