Pmop Combined Dls Patients Treated With Plif Surgery Taking Huqianwan: Effect On Treatment Outcome And The Experimental Study

Objective: Explore the effect on treatment outcome of postmenopausal osteoporosis(PMOP) combined degenerative lumbar spondylolisthesis (DLS) patients who treated withposterior posterior lumbar interbody fusion (PLIF) surgery take Huqianwan. And anlysethe reasons combined with the experimental study.Methods: Systemative review PMOP combined DLS patients who treated with PLIFsurgery from January2010to May2011in Affiliated Hospital of Shandong University ofTCM orthopedics spine department. Follow-up by telephone, mail and clinic, we found44cases which met the inclusion criteria and had a complete material. Divided into twogroups. Twenty patients received a twice-per-os of Huqianwan, and twenty-four patientsserved as the control group. Patients were followed up6-24months, summed up theclinical and imaging findings, and to compare the JOA score, visual analog scale (VAS)score and fusion result of two groups, And make the statistical analysis to the data.Results: At4weeks after the surgery, the mean score of JOA of the experimentalgroup is20.5, compared17.5for the control group (p<0.01).At8weeks, those scores are24.1,21.6(p<0.01). At the followed end time, those scores are25.3,24.7(p>0.05). At4weeks after surgery, the mean score of VAS of the experimental group is2.3, compared3.0for the control group (p<0.05). At8weeks, those scores are1.3,2.4(p<0.05). At thefollowed end time, those scores are1.1,1.0(p>0.05). At the followed end time, accordingto Lenke fusion standards,19patients for the experimental achieve an up to level B,compared17.5for the control group (fusion rate,95%compared with79.2%). Huqianwancan promote the proliferation and differentiation of BMSCs.Conclusion:1. In PMOP combined DLS patients treated with PLIF surgery, Huqianwan accelerates clinical symptoms improve rate of short-term.2. Huqianwanimprove the interbody fusion quality of this kind of patients.
