Objective:To compare the short-term effect of the group with type prosthesis beforeand after the application of total hip arthroplasty and summarize the treatment experience.Methods:Collect20cases of revision total hip arthroplasty patients that met theinclusion criteria of Affiliated Hospital of Shandong University of Traditional ChineseMedicine joint orthopedic wards admitted in June2008to September2011, using GermanLINK uncemented group with renovated prosthesis MPTMfor total hip arthroplasty.20patients were treated to relieve pain, rebuild the function of the hip for the purpose ofcorrecting the hip deformity. Score all patients before treatment, and make the follow-upevaluation of the postoperative, using the Harris scores of hip function in patients, comparing the preoperative and postoperative Harris hip score in patients with analysis ofthe efficacy of MPTMsystem in total hip arthroplasty.Results:20patients after surgical incision were Phase I healed, no DVT and leglength discrepancy, postoperative hip dislocation and other complications occurred. Thepatients were followed up for8-39months. During the follow-up, the sinking of prosthesisloosening and periprosthetic infection didn’t appear. The ingrowth of periprosthetic wentwell. The preoperative Harris score reached an average of41.45±10.23. The lastfollow-up reached an average of87.25±4.15, considered statistically significant prior tosurgery p <0.05.Conclusion:Using group with renovated prosthesis in total hip arthroplasty hasobvious effect, you can adjust the length and eccentricity. The anteversion canindependently match the proximal and distal femur, gaining the early and long-termimplant stability.
