Calculate the awareness rate and the scores of knowledge based on thenumbers of the right answers on the questionnaires, analyze the changing situation ofthe awareness rate of AIDS knowledge, the attitude to HIV/AIDS, condom knowledge,high-risk behaviors related to AIDS and condom use of male migrants before and afterthe intervention by means of chi-square test analysis statistical methods.Results85.0%of male peasant workers ever heard of AIDS, and their AIDS related knowledge was mainly got from TV, newspaper, magazine, accounting for38.1%,15.3%and11.1%respectively.85.6%of them would like to receive AIDS relatededucation, TV (30.0%) was the most preferred way to receive AIDS related knowledgeand the propaganda of medical worker (13.1%) and publicity photographs (12.9%) werein second and third place, respectively. The condom use rate was80%in multiple sexual partnersafter the intervention, compared with the use rate before intervention there wasstatistical significance (χ2=7.703,P=0.008). The rate of those male peasant workers, who used condoms for the last1month, was raised from21.6%to28.6%, and wasstatistically significant (χ2=170.766,P=0.000).Conclusions The knowledge rate of condom and HIV knowledge was limited andsome of male peasant workers in the study sample were engaged in high risk sexualbehavior and most had never used condoms.
