Objective:To explore the problem that should notice in struma ovarii diagnosis and treatment.Methods:A retrospective analysis of Qilu Hospital of ShanDong University in July2005to December2011,the24cases were confirmed by the postoperative pathologic diagnosis for conventional struma ovarii the clinicopathologic data, combined with the literature review.Results:All cases onset ages15to81years, average38years old.Below the40years old,10cases of patients,40~60years old patients with peri-menopausal period8cases,60years old or above6cases of patients.struma ovariis. Clinical performance has no obvious self-conscious symptom that bag piece in7cases of pelvic cavity in Health Examination about29.9%account for the total number cases, the mass of the belly in4cases (16.7%). The cases are8who are complained of abdominal distension and abdominal(33.3%) cases, including the clinical manifestations of the acute abdominal pain in2cases, the other reasons in5patients.10cases of intraoperative frozen that is fast diagnosis of ovarian thyroid swollen or contain visible thyroid composition about41.7%account for the total number cases.,7cases of intraoperative frozen only diagnosis for rapid benign lesions,2cases of intraoperative diagnosis for serous capsule adenoma,1case of intraoperative diagnosis for mature teratoma,2cases of intraoperative not send quick frozen inspection,1case of intraoperative diagnosis for low differentiated adenocarcinoma, routine postoperative pathological for ovarian thyroid swollen with immature embryo adenomatous composition.1case of intraoperative diagnosis of low-grade malignant source ovarian, postoperative pathologic diagnosis of ovarian follicles type thyroid cancer.Conclusion:Struma ovarii is a highly specific ovarian teratoma, the comprehensive analysis to the clinical presentation, laboratory indexes, and ultrasonic CT examination of the patients is helpful to improve the accuracy of preoperative diagnosis. The surgery should completely cut the goiters and all the goiters should be sent for examination. For the patients who have large goiter and thicker membrane wall, the materials should be selected as more as possible to avoid missed diagnosis. After surgery, the happening of the Thyroid dysfunction should be watched out seriously, and the diseases should be cured by using drugs. During the follow-up visit, the Thyroid function should be reexamined.
