ObjectiveTo establish protection zone standard for sintering industry through comparison betweenatmospheric environment protection zone and health protection zone.MethodsThe source intensity of characteristic pollutants in fugitive emission source wasdeterminated by field survey and monitoring for representative sintering industry, after thathealth protection zone and atmospheric environment protection zone were estimated withground concentration inverse method and point source dispersion model.ResultsTotal suspended particulates were main characteristic pollutant of fugitive emissionsource in all of the sintering industry. When local average wind speed in the past five yearswere below2m/s,2~4m/s and above4m/s, respectively, the recommended values of healthprotection zone of sintering plant were1000m,900m and800m, respectively. Therecommended values of atmospheric environment protection zone of sintering plant were800m and400m for first and second kinds function areas of ambient air quality, respectively.ConclusionRevised value of health protection zone for sintering industry was reasonable andfeasible through comparison and analysis of the version of1989’s standard. |
