Reproductive health is not only a major concern, but also a prominent social problem,and it is an important area of women’s social work. Rural women, as a vulnerable group, accounted for the majority of the female population in China. Their reproductive health problems are especially prominent.And there is an urgent need for this research and discussion.In this study, author comprehensivly use the manner of questionnaires, case interviews and documents collected relevant information.And the reproductive health status and influencing factors are analyzed by using social gender theory and ecosystem theory as a guide. It is based on the survey of rural women in XinChong town-Xinzhou District, Wuhan City.Firstly, this paper describes the reproductive health status of rural women from five respects, including the self-evaluation of reproductive health, reproductive disease status, the status of reproductive health knowledge, reproductive behavior status, and reproductive health services status.The study suggest that the rural women’s reproductive health of Xinchong town is generally good, but there are many problems, such as awareness in reproductive health, lack of knowledge of reproductive health, pregnant women check-ups and hospital delivery rate is not high and low local reproductive health services.Secondly, this paper inquiry into the local rural women’s reproductive health impact factors respectively from the individual level, family level, community level and social dimensions. The study found that the level of education of rural women and self-health awareness on reproductive health status have a greater impact at the individual level; family economic status and family relations have material effect on women’s reproductive health at the household level; at the community level, community reproductive health services conditions and health conditions are the main influencing factors. At the same time, socio-cultural factors also influence women’s reproductive health in rural areas. These factors affect the local rural women’s reproductive health together.In summary, this study suggests that the reasons of problems in the reproductive health status of rural women are various, including personal reasons, families, communities and social reasons. Therefore, we should proceed commonly from multi-level to promote rural women’s reproductive health issues.; Particularly, we should pay the emphasis on the function and role of social work.In this study, gender theory and ecological systems theory are used to analyze the reproductive health problems of rural women.There is something new in the research perspective,and the study also provides a reference field of reproductive health for rural women in social work intervention.
