Objective:Carbapenem resistance has been unusual in isolates of Enterobacteriaceae. In this study, the prevalence and molecular epidemiologic characteristics of carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae are analyzed in a teaching hospital from2007to2011. the study focus on Detectting drug-resistant strains producing metallo-β-lactamases (MBLs) and its infection type, and analyzing the clinical features. Methods:Antimicrobial susceptibility was determined by agar dilution method. Phenotypic confirmation of drug-resistant strains using the double disk synergy test by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) strains in positive test includes NDM-1, a variety of metallo-beta-lactamase gene type. And WHONET5.4and SPSS13.0softwares were used to analyze the data. Results:Resistance rate of Enterobacteriaceae to imipenem and meropenem were rising in past five years, but not exceeding the maximum4.5%. A total of35carbapenem resistant strains were isolated, and their phenotype confirmation tests showed7strains of produces metallo-P-lactamases, including IMP-4、VIM-1and VIM-2MBLs. Conclusion:Enterobactenaceae to carbapenems were sencitivity, resistant rates are on the rise tendency in recent years. Most of carbapenem resistance Enterobacteriaceae were multidrug-resistant.
