The Establishing And Clinical Application Of Adrenal Disease Database

Objective:To establish a adrenal disease database and verify the effectiveness and availability of data collection and statistics by using this software. Methods:By using Microsoft Visual Studio2008and Microsoft SQL Server2005, I designed some operating interfaces of records input and two other functions namely data query and data statistics.Input the information of229patients,who was admitted to department of urology surgery with adrenal disease from2008to2010. Results:Through the database we can easily and fast input the adrenal disease patients’data,like symptoms,signs,laboratory examination, treatment pathology results and followup data. The database can provide complete and accurate raw data for statistical and analysis.The database’s interface is friendly, even if people do not understand software programming can easily manipulate the database. And we design the function of auto-detection for possible wrong operation to prevent the error occurred. Statistics in sex、age、diagnosis、doctor、name of operation、size of tumor、 pathologic type are consistent with SPSS. Conclusion:1.The application of the database changed the insufficient of input with Excel,including single interface、low input efficiency and high error rate.It is divided into many interfaces to input,which can reduce the error rate and the workload of input by preset content2.The database can record clinical data completely through the storage of a variety of information.3.The interface of database is friendly and we can use it without special training.4.Although the early development of the database has been completed,it still need to improve by a large number of test.
