Guangxi Acanthamoeba Keratitis5Cases Clinical Analysis

Objective Discussion of acanthamoeba keratitis clinical charac-teristics treatment and prognosis.Design A retrospectie case series.Object of study In5cases (6eyes) acanthamoeba keratitis patients.Methods Retrospective analysis from November2008to April2011,5cases(6eyes) to confirm the diagnosis of acanthamoeba keratitis inpatients with predisposing factors, clinical features, laboratory tests,diagnosis, treatment and prognosisKey Indicators Predisposing factors, clinical features, diagnosis,treatment and prognosis.Results Five confirmed cases, including three cases before the onsethad the fans eyes"-the history of corneal abrasion, the other two have noobvious incentive, but one patient had syphilis, and one patient is a youngman had ipsilateral eye ulcer disease history；All cases were culture confirmed by microscopic examination of corneal scraping orbacteria,fungi and Acanthamoeba；3patients showed the typical stromal ringinfiltrates,2patients showed diffuseinflammatory infiltration of thecornea, five cases of varying degrees hypopyon；Treatment is mainly usedin combination with Acanthamoeba drug treatment and operation, for themixed bacterial or fungal infection (and) the combined anti bacterial andfungal treatment；In2cases with drug therapy to cure,but1cases ofsecondary glaucoma,2cases of corneal penetrating transplantation in ourhospital,1cases of corneal melting and perforation final removal of theeye, another cases were control the infection but who could not bear toglaucoma and final through eye enucleation,1cases treated by medicineof good to penetrating keratoplasty cure.Conclusion The amebic keratitis is the serious of blind eye disease,through the clinical and clinical characteristic, with the aid of the corneaand bacteriologic studies can be scraped cytology early diagnosis.Traumatic cause of acanthamoeba keratitis easy mixed bacteria or fungalinfections, strengthening prevention, treatment, and try to make earlydiagnosis and early treatment is to improve the curative effect, reduce thecomplications and the effective method of blindness.
