Objective: To investigate the deviation of KL-6between interstitialpneumonia associated with connective tissue disease and pneumonia caused bybacterium, and investigate the relationship between KL-6and laboratoryfindings and the significance of KL-6in pathology differentiation between thetwo pneumonia and prognosis of CTD-IP.Methods: We choose the9CTD-IP patients and18pneumonia patientscaused by bacterium whose specimens were from transbronchoscopic lungbiopsy and4autopsy samples whose were from patients who did not die fromlung disease. We analyzed KL-6expression in all above lung tissues byimmunohistochemical staining. The expression of KL-6was detected usingsemiquantitative analysis by the pathology image Analysis System. Thestatistical analysis was executed by SPSS17.0software, using Wilcoxon ranksum test. Statistical significant level was considered as “α=0.05”.Result:1. The expression of KL-6from CTD-IP is higher than pneumonia causedby bacterium and autopsy samples, and statistically analysis has significantdifference(P<0.05). The expression of KL-6from pneumonia caused by bacterium is significantly elevated compared to autopsy samples (P<0.05).2. DLco、PO2were negatively related with the expression of KL-6fromCTD-IP lung tissue.3. IgG was positively related with the expression of KL-6from CTD-IPlung tissue. Conclusions: The KL-6whose expression are from CTD-IP andpneumonia caused by bacterium may be a significance indicator indifferentiation between these two pneumonias in pathology. It also may be anobjective indicator which can evaluate the damage degree and prognosis ofCTD-IP, also may be connected to the disease activity.
