Objective: Polysomnography technology has been the golden standard of obstructivesleep apnea hypopnea syndrome (obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome, OSAHS)for a long time, but it can not accurately locate the upper airway obstructive plane.Recently, there are many studies using multislice CT evaluation of upper airway obstruction inadults patients with OSAHS.And this Meta-analysis is the systematic reviews aboutaccurate positioning of the diagnostic value of multislice CT for airway obstruction in thethe adult patients with OSAHS. Methods: The articals about the multi-slice spiral CT’svalue in obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome from1990to2012were searchedfrom Pubmed, MEDLINE, Cochran library and China digital periodicals network/wanfangdatabase, and these datas were analyzed by a random effects model statistics. Results:Seven articles about the multi-slice spiral CT’s value in obstructive sleep apnea hypopneasyndrome were qualified for this research, and the sensitivity and specificity wereseparately90%(95%CI:86%-93%) and91%(95%CI:87%-95%). The SROC area underthe curve was0.9594. Conclusions: The multislice CT can a better positioning method ofthe upper airway obstructive plane for adult patients with OSAHS, and it can be used asone of the important examination methods to provide a way for clinical diagnosis andtreatment.
