Objective:Toinvestigate the relationship Among high-sensitivityC-reactive Protein, soluble P-selection, Kruppel-like factor4andperipheral vascular disease in Type2diabetes patients. Method:Thelevel of inflammation hctors including hsCRP,Ps,KLF4were comparedamong PVD patients(ABI<0.9), N-PVD patients(ABI≥0.9) as well as the control group, and the differences in body mass index(BMI),bloodpressure(BP),serum glucofe,HbA lc, and Bloodlipid were also observed.Result: Compared with the N-PVD group and the control group, the levelof hsCRP and Ps were both significantly incressed(the hsCRP level: PADvs N-PVD77.44±8.59vs61.16±9.41, P=0.003; PAD vs control77.44±8.59vs44.48±6.15,P<0.001. the Ps level:PAD vs N-PVD142.42±13.46vs117.87±14.27,P=0.002; PAD vs control142.42±13.46vs90.91±8.09,P<0.001); however, the KLF4level in PVD group wassignificantly lower than that of N-PVD group and control group(PAD vsN-PVD34.72±5.41vs44.88±7.05,P=0.019;PAD vs control34.72±5.41vs53.74±7.38,P<0.001).In addition, we found that N-PVD group hadhigher level in hsCRP and Ps than control group(the hsCRP level: N-PVDvs control61.16±9.41vs44.48±6.15,P=0.002;the Ps level: N-PVD vscontrol117.87±14.27vs90.91±8.09, P=0.001), yet the KLF4level wasdecreased markedly in N-PVD group compared with the controlgroup(N-PVD vs control44.88±7.05vs53.74±7.38, P=0.04). Conclusion:hsCRP, Ps as well as KLF4have the similar clinical importance for theonset and progress of Type2diabetes complicated with PVD.HighhsCRP and Ps levels may be the pivotal risk factors of PVD in TzDMpatients, and furthermore, the study suggest that KLF4is likely toalleviate peripheral vascular disease in Type2diabetes patients. Butfurther research still be indispensably in order to explicit the effects and concrete mechanism of these factors on peripheral vascular disease inType2diabetes patients.
