ObjectiveAnalyzing Chinese medicine factors such as medicine property, flavor, tropism, effect and so on to abtain the objective results of the traditional Chinese medicine clinical classification for providing an objective basis to the clinical classification of traditional Chinese medicine.MethodsUsing SPSS16.0statistical software packages for statistical analysis. A total of298flavor of traditional Chinese Medicine" from Chinese medicine"(the7th edition) are the observed as variable.Medicine property, taste, tropism and efficacy as a variable to reflect the classification of characteristics. So as to identify directly text language description for Medicine property and efficacy, the text language description must pass through quantification processing. The factors quantified using a two quantization values and numerical quantification combining forms. Having a certain character is recorded as l,or is recorded as0. If the character is significant, that is recorded asl.5,or is recorded as0.5. Such as medicine property "re" is recorded as1, medicine property "da re"is recorded as "re"1.5, medicine property "wen"is recorded as"re"0.5.ResultsDivided into40classes, the difference among groups was minimal, closed to the traditional classification results, however, the group differences is too small, classification without clinical significance;divided into15classes, the difference among groups was larger, closing to the traditional classification results, the classification with statistical significance and clinical significance;divided into7 classes, Within group differences too big, there was no significant difference between groups.the classification result is not ideal.DiscussionIn traditional Chinese medicine clinical classification objective of the study, after the cluster analysis.298herbs is divided into15categories in line with clinical practice in accordance with medicine property, flavor, tropism, effect and so on.ConclusionWhen divided into15classes, differences of results with the traditional classification, due to the subjectivity of the traditional classification, or due to technical problems of the subject in the objective process, We need further analysis and discussion. Found by comparing the pre-experimental results and the298herbs objective classification results that pre-experimental results more in line with the traditional classification results and this difference is caused by the different sample size. How to gct a more objective and scientific classification results in a large sample experiments, we need to further explore and direction.
