Objective: The clinical and radiological follow-up analysis to explore the impact ofthe matching relationship of Ribbed stem and the femoral marrow cavity on the stability ofthe stem in total hip arthroplasty surgery. Methods: From March2010to March2012,the60cases (62hips) patients of ourhospital Joint orthopaedic used the anatomic cementless Ribbed stem for total hiparthroplasty surgery treatment of hip disease. Retrospective analysis of60cases(62hips)were followed up for clinical efficacy and X-ray film, divided into twogroups,Group A of neutral position of30cases(32hips),Group B of the mild valgus positionof30cases(30hips), clinical assessment of the Harris hip scoring system. The radiographicevaluation according to the postoperative and follow-up hip ray films, to observe thestability of the femoral stem prosthesis and postoperative complications.Comparison oftwo groups, statistical analysis,to investigate the neutral position and mild valgus mildvalgus position of the prosthesis of the femoral stem in the installation process in theclinical whether the differences. Results: In group A patients with preoperative Harris score an average of58.82points,recent follow-up after surgery, the average Harris score of95.46points, group Bpatients with preoperative Harris score an average of56.72points,the latest follow-upafter the average Harris score94.25points, both groups were significantly higher thanbefore surgery.X-ray showed two sets of femoral stem into good stability. Conclusion:There was no significant difference of the femoral prosthesis in clinicalinstallation with the neutral position or mild valgus position.
