Objective: Through long period of posterior pedicle screw rod system fixation forankylosing spondylitis spinal combined with thoracic and lumber vertebrae fracturetreatment and study of the therapeutic effect for clinical operation, providing somereference. Methods: The statistics in2007January~2011October in Shandong University ofTraditional Chinese Medicine Affiliated Hospital spinal orthopaedic ward hospitalizationand underwent posterior long phase of pedicle screw rod system fixation for ankylosingspondylitis spinal combined with thoracic and lumber vertebrae fracture patients treatedwith. Choose one of14patients, postoperative active early functional exercise, and regularfollow-up, acquisition of patients before and after operation of the kyphosis angle Cobb,VAS pain score, vertebral fracture activity and other related data, using the related software, were analyzed retrospectively, and the observation of posterior pedicle screw rod system inlong period fixation on ankylosing spondylitis spinal thoracolumbar spinal fractures inpatients with therapeutic effect. Results: Each of the patients after a return visit, visit time is half year to five years,average2.3years, fracture healing in13~16weeks, for an average of14.56weeks, wasfound in14cases after operation the kyphosis angle Cobb, VAS pain score, vertebralfracture activity have different degrees of improvement and remission, kyphosis angleCobb preoperatively by51.6829DEG to44.9024DEG VAS postoperative; pain score rateof remission in50%~78%, average by preoperative dropped to8.68after3.24; vertebralfracture activity degree from preoperative to postoperative14degrees0degrees. Before and after the operation of the kyphosis angle Cobb, VAS pain score, vertebral fractureactivity, there was a statistically significant difference. Conclusion: On ankylosing spondylitis spinal combined with thoracic and lumbervertebrae fracture treated by posterior long phase of pedicle screw rod system fixation, restored the vertebral levels and the upper and lower vertebrae to the normal sequence, tocorrect the disease of vertebral fractures caused by angular deformity, while strengtheningthe three column stability, improved the neurological symptoms, prevent spinal cordfurther injury. Posterior long phase of pedicle screw rod system fixation for ankylosingspondylitis spinal thoracolumbar spinal fractures in patients with therapeutic effect, is thetreatment of ankylosing spondylitis spinal thoracolumbar spinal fractures in patients witheffective method.
