[Objective] Statistics serum Cystatin C level at different stages of coronaryheart disease, analyzing the correlation of acute coronary syndrome; Combinedwith Gensini integral system for each patient coronary angiography resultsrating, analysis of coronary artery disease severity and serum Cystatin C levelin the relationship.[Method] A total of132consecutive patients with coronary artery disease (CAD)were selected by coronary angiography, consisting of34patients with stableangina pectoris (SAP),35patients with unstable angina pectoris (UA),33patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI), and30healthy subjects ascontrols. The diagnostic criteria for CHD is that there is at least one epicardialvessel with the diameter stenosis≥50%by coronary angiography; and a total of132consecutive patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) were selected bycoronary angiography, consisting of28patients with single vessel disease,33patients with double vessel disease,41patients with triple vessel disease, and30healthy subjects as controls. In this study, plasma cystatin C and Hs-CRPwere measured by immunoturbidimetry (ITM);BUN、CREA、UA、TG、CHOL、HDL、LDL were measured by enzyme multiplied immunoassay technique. Weuse the Gensini score system to evaluate the stenosis of each coronary arteryquantitatively. Differences in continuous variables between groups were testedby analysis of variance(ANOVA).Differences in count data were compared withChi-Square test. The relationship between two variables was tested bySpearman correlation or Pearson correlation. P<0.05for the difference wassignificant.[Result]1. There are not statistical differences in age, sex, smoking, hypertension, diabetes and hyperlipidemia in each group(P>0.05).2. Muchhigher Hs-CRP concentrations were found in UAP patients and AMIpatients(P=0.009).Cystatin C levels were significantly higher in UAP patientsthan those in SAP patients and controls, but AMI patients’ were much lowerthan those in SAP patients and controls(F=5.668,P=0.002).3.Further logisticregression analysis indicated that cystatin C had significant correlation withpathological changes of coronary artery.4.In the control group with single vessel disease group, double-vessel disease group and three lesions, in eachgroup Cys C results statistically significant, the Gensini score in each grouphad statistically significant results, with the cystatin C high, the number ofcoronary branches with the increase.5.Bivariate Pearson correlation analysisto examine the correlation of Cystatin C and Gensini score, the results show,Cys C and Gensini score was significantly correlated (r=0.496, p <0.01),with statistically significant.[Conclusions] Cystatin C plays an important role in the development of CADand plasma cystatin C is a strong predictor for risk of cardiovascular events. With the increase of serum levels of cystatin C the pathogenetic condition andpathological changes of coronary artery in patients with CHD became more andmore serious....
