Polymyositis (PM) is one of the main forms of idiopathic inflammatory myopathies(ⅡM), which contain Dermatomyositis (DM)、polymyositis (PM) and inclusion body myositis (sIBM). Like other IIMs,PM has a proximal muscle weakness, and the follow up of a high creatine-kinases level in spite of its possible normality. As to its pathological changes,it’s well known that there is a aggression of CD8+T cells beteween muscle fibers and a coexistence of muscle necrosis and regeneration.Generally speaking, muscle weakness of PM patients due to the muscle necrosis and inflamation. However, the ratio of Myosin and Actin(M/A),which represents the relationship of the two most inportant proteins associated with muscle contractions, may reveal a new explanation to the muscle weakness of PM. Generally speaking, muscle weakness of PM patients due to the muscle necrosis and inflamation. Here we used the SDS-PAGE to analyze the M/A of PM patients, and find that the mean M/A is0.6965±0.03380,compeared with the normal group of1.4838±0.04922,P<0.001. We also analyzed the corellation among M/A muscle fatigue and CK level.Besides, this paper is also a review of PM on the clinical presentations、...
