Objective: Compared the Proteasome20S activity changes inperipheral blood lymphocytes between Parkinson’S disease(PD) group andhealthy volunteer group. To discuss its ability to act as a biologicaldiagnostic marker of PD, and to provide help for the early diagnosis andrational treatment of PD.Method: Choose23PD patients from The second Affiliated ofchongqing Medical University and20healthy volunteers, draw theirperipheral blood and extract the lymphocytes. Using ELISA method tomeasure and calculat the Proteasome20S activity in peripheral bloodlymphocytes. Adopting two independent sanmples T-test to compare theproteasome20S activity difference between the two groups and to test therelationship with the UPDRS score.Result: Compared to the healthy volunteers, Peripheral bloodlymphocytes proteasome20S activity level in PD patients decreasedstatistically significant(P<0.05).But in the PD group only, comparison of the proteasome20S activity seems to be no signficat difference by differentUPDRS score (P>0.05).Conclusion: proteasome20S activity level is the potential biologicaldiagnostic marker of PD, it may provide some help to the early diagnosis ofPD. But to evaluate the severity of PD still need to for further observation.
