Objective:To observe the therapeutic effect of negative pressurewound therapy (NPWT) in extra-pulmonary lymphoid tuberculosisabscess combined with tuberculostatics.Method:86patients of extr-apulmonary lymph node tuberculosisabscess from June2007to March2009, were cured by following treatmentmeasures: first, incision of abscess and underwent debridement; secondly, abscess cavity filling by powder of rifamycin; after that, the placement ofNPWT washed with rifamycin sodium saline, had been replaced anothernew ones every5-7d, until the abscess cavity disappeared completely. Results: All the operated patients healed in14to35days, the healingrate was100%, average healing time was (21.91±4.71) days. All thepatients were followed up12-36months (mean24months),1caserecurred in1year (recurrence rate,1.16%),2cases recurred in2years(recurrence rate,2.33%),5cases recurred in3years (recurrence rate, 5.81%).Conclusion:The way of NPWT combined with tuberculostatics iseffective, it guarantee the concentration of tuberculostatics in the abscesscavity, clean the inflammatory effusion in it, shorten the healing time, cutback on the frequency of dressing change, and reduce recurrence chance. Ithas a major application value in the clinical treatment of the abscess ofextra-pulmonary lymphoid tuberculosis, and should been keeping onexploration and extension.
