Objective To investigate the effect of antibacterial peptide LL-37onPseudomonas aeruginosa biofilm.Method In vitro of Pseudomonas aeruginosa biofilm model usingsputum suction tube was established. The biofilm morphology was observedby scanning electron microscope and the biofilm formation was analyzed bythe crystal violet staining of the adherent biofilm in the presence ofantibacterial peptide LL-37.Result LL-37could destroy the structure of Pseudomonas aeruginosabiofilm, and this occurred at low concentration of5μg/ml. As theconcentration of LL-37increased,biofilm decreased gradually.Conclusion LL-37could destroy the structure of biofilm.
