Objective:13cases of non-obese T2DM patients who were treated byGasless laparoscopic gastric bypass operation between Jan2011and Jan2012were studied. clinical therapeutic effect and safety of Gaslesslaparoscopic gastric bypass operation on Chinese non-obese T2DMpatients was evaluated.Methods:13patients with T2DM were selected according to theinclusion and eliminating standard. All of the patients had undergone aRoux-en-Y gastric bypass surgery. We evaluated pre-operative andpost-operative data, including demographics, duration of diabetes, metabolic parameters, and clinical outcomes. The clinic parametersincluded glycosylated hemoglobin, fasting plasma glucose,2hourpostprandial glucose, oral glucose tolerance test, C-peptide, insulin releasetest, BMI, hemoglobin, plasma albumin. The incidence of complicationswas also recorded. At last the clinic parameters were compared.Results:(1) The results demonstrated that postoperative hemoglobindecreased significantly (p<0.05). OGTT, CPRT and INS in each phasewere significantly decreased (p<0.05). Indicating patients’ glucosemetabolism and function of pancreatic islet were obviously improved3months after the operation. The postoperative BMI (23.46±2.72kg/m2) was decreased whencompared to the preoperative BMI (25.83+3.16kg/m2)(P>0.05), but theBMI values were still within the normal range. Postoperative hemoglobin(132.16±16.8g/L) and plasma albumin (39.64±3.2g/L) and preoperativehemoglobin (137.44±11.2g/L) and plasma albumin (41.53±3.7g/L) showedno significant change (P>0.05).(3)During the follow-up period, there were no death cases,2cases ofgastro paresis,1case of anastomotic ulcer.8cases (62%) achieved acomplete remission.5cases (38%) had achieved an improvement of type2diabetes.Conclusions:(1) Gasless laparoscopic gastric bypass operation iseffective in the treatment of non-obese type2diabetes.(2) Gasless laparoscopic gastric bypass operation non non-obeseT2DM have a higher security.(3) Gasless laparoscopic gastric bypass operation still has certain riskevaluation, the patient should be strictly selected according to the inclusionand eliminating standard.
