Objective: To understand the family burden of cancer chemotherapy, presentsituation and discuss the factors that influence family burden, so as to seek ways andmeasures to reduce family burden and provide references.Methods: On a cross-sectional survey method two comprehensive third-levelmedical hospital cancer chemotherapy internist hospitalized patients and theirfamilies are all180cases of anonymous questionnaire. Survey tools include:(1)general situation questionnaire,(2) disease family investigation scale,(3) socialsupport scale,(4) characteristic coping styles questionnaire. Application softwareSPSS16.0descriptive analysis, single factor analysis and unconditional Logisticmultiple stepwise regression analysis.Results:1.Among100%cancer chemotherapy, there are different degrees of family burden.2. Among the positive answer rate for family relationships,90.6percent are from thefree-throw line, family member’s psychological health are93.9%, the rest are in thepositive answer rate above95%.3. The positive answer of family’s economic burden tops highest rate (100%), then isthe family daily life (98.3%), family leisure entertainment (97.8%), family internalrelations (95.0%), family members, body health (95.0%) family members, mentalhealth (93.9%) family relationships (90.6%) percent from the free-throw lineinfluence.4. The single factor analysis result shows: the family burden relevant factors include patients age, self-care ability, cancer and the course, due to cancer chemotherapy forcancer hospital frequently, chemotherapy and be in hospital, the need for pay theirown days because of chemotherapy spends medical total cost, pays a form,and familyage, education, occupation, with patients, the relations between the fixed number ofyear, every family care for patients with time, and care whether patients living withfamily members get social support, take the negative coping style, take the positivecoping style and the family month total income.5. Multi-factor analysis shows that family burden is the main influencing factor whilethe samller elements are: taking negative coping styles, family income, patient’sself-care skill, family members who get social support.Conclusion:1. Cancer chemotherapy prevalent in patients with different degrees of family burden,and family burden has different multidimensionality and universality.2. Cancer chemotherapy patients caused by mainly by family’s economic burden,second heaviest burdens are daily activities and home entertainment activities, andfamily member’s health, family relations and mental health influence are relativelyminor.3Patients’ families take negative coping style, or they have low month income, theirfamily self-care skill obtained from social support is also the influencing factors.4. Taking negative coping style is the main influencing factor.
