In chemistry, an oligomer is a molecule that consists of a few monomer units in contrast to a polymer that consists of an unlimited number of monomers. Dimers, trimers, and tetramers are oligomers. has aroused great attention of scientists from the fields of Chemistry, Crystallography, Materials Science and Biology. In the filed, most of the attention are paid to the following area including polymerization mechanism, Reversible materials, self-repair materials, Biological polymer. Many domestic and international scholars have done lots of work for the unity of informedness and procedureness, flowability and reversibility, modularity and designability. In this paper, we have designed and synthesized a new kind of oligomer (m-phenoxy), and have done some exploratory research.1. By employing resorcinol and1,5-difluoro-2,4-dinitrobenzene as precursor, we synthesized di oligomer、trioligome、tetraoligomer、pentaoligomer with different substituent groups. The structure was confirmed by1H-NMR,13C-NMR, HRMass and single crystal X-Ray analysis.2. By employing trioligomer as precursor, we synthesized ortho-linked oxacalix[4]arene. The structure was confirmed by’H-NMR,13C-NMR, HRMass.Considering the research, We thought that the method referring to the synthesis of calixarene derivatives through the oligomer had many advantages in the design. In this paper, we synthesized16new oligomers. The study on the oligomer with more monomer repeat units and their space structures is currently in progress.
