Objective:Identify the relationship between the exercise intensity related parameters, such as oxygen consumption (V02), pulse arterial oxygen saturation (Sp02), blood lactate (BLa) and heart rate (HR), during4weeks hypoxic training. Discuss the simple exercise intensity markers during chronic intermittent hypoxic training.Methods:18healthy male athletes volunteered for4weeks hypoxic training. The training is100minutes once and3times a week with intensity of70%V02max Exercise forms contains cycle ergometer and treadmill. Sp02is used for control exercise intensity and make sure it maintains at88-90%. All the subjects finished three incremental exercise tests to volitional exhaustion in simulated2500m normobaric hypoxia. The three tests perfomed in acute, after2and4weeks hypoxic training respectively. Gas exchange parameters, Sp02and HR were recorded continuously at rest and during the whole process of exercise. Blood lactatewas sampled during the last20seconds of each exercise intensity. The relation of these parameters are analyzed by simple linear regression. Results:IIR at the same intensity was decreased during the three tests. And it had a good correlation with exercise intensity(%V02max). Blood lactateat rest and in the absolute intensity of90-180w was significantly decreased (P<0.05) after4weeks training. But maximal blood lactate was statistically increased (P<0.01). Sp02in the same intensity was increased during the three tests. And it had a high correlation with%and BLa respectively. The%V02max was expressed as the function of Sp02during4weeks hypoxic training as follow:Acute hypoxic exercise:%V02max=11.522-0.124×Sp022weeks hypoxic training:%V02max=8.886-0.091×Sp02 4weeks hypoxic training:%V02max=9.248-0.096×Sp02The BLa was expressed as the function of Sp02during4weeks hypoxic training as follow:Acute hypoxic exercise:BLa=91.562-0.97×Sp024weeks hypoxic training:BLa=171.042-1.857×Sp02Conclusion:1. Sp02had a good correlation with%V02max and BLa respectively. It can be used as a noninvasive index during4weeks hypoxic training.2. The function of Sp02predicting%V02max and BLa in acute hypoxia can not guide hypoxic exercise during the whole hypocix training. It is necessary to establish new functions in different adaptation periods to evaluate exercise intensity during hypoxic training.
