ObjectivesBy objectively assess the patients who accepted peritoneal dialysis for at least one month to explore the law of TCM syndrome the peritoneal dialysis patients.MethodsBy retrospective analysis of clinical data or talking with the peritoneal dialysis patients to explore the law of TCM syndrome the peritoneal dialysis patients.ResultThe cases are peritoneal dialysis patients treated in Guangdong provincial hospital of TCM during January2011to January2012, a total of58cases,546clinic times. Male to female ratio1:1.07, with an average of44.12±12.76years. In primary disease, chronic glomerulonephritis for25.86%, followed by diabetic nephropathy17.24%,18.97%hypertensive renal disease, lupus nephritis13.79%. The patients’syndrome who accepted peritoneal dialysis no longer than three month was deficiency of vital energy of spleen and kidney and retention of water-dampness. The patients’syndrome who accepted peritoneal dialysis for four to six month was deficiency of vital energy of spleen and kidney or yang deficiency of spleen and kidney, and blood stasis syndrome. The patients’syndrome who accepted peritoneal dialysis for seven to twelve month was deficiency of vital energy of spleen and kidney, yang deficiency of spleen and kidney or yin deficiency of liver and kidney, and retention of water-dampness or blood stasis syndrome. The patients’syndrome who accepted peritoneal dialysis for thirteen to twenty-four month was yang deficiency of spleen and kidney or yin deficiency of liver and kidney, and retention of water-dampness. The patients’syndrome who accepted peritoneal dialysis more than twenty-five month was yin-yang deficiency and retention of water-dampness or blood stasis syndrome.Conelus ionThe law of TCM syndrome evolved regularly during the patients accepted the peritoneal dialysis. Because of mutual rooting of yin-yang, the damage of yang involved the damage of yin. The TCM syndrome of the patients accepted the peritoneal dialysis is from deficiency of vital energy of spleen and kidney, to yang deficiency of spleen and kidney or yin deficiency of liver and kidney, finally to yin-yang deficiency. Followed by retention of water-dampness or blood stasis syndrome.
