Objective:To investigate the relationship between protein Z, protein Z-dependent protease inhibitor in plasma and acute ischemic stroke. Methods:In the research,84patients were selected to investigate the relationship between protein Z,protein Z-dependent protease and acute ischemic stroke,in which48was incipience and36was recurrencc.According to the clinicl neurological damage of stroke (NDS),the patients were divided into three groups and84healthy adults were selected as control. The concentration of plasma protein Z and protein Z-dependent protease inhibitor were measured by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay to analyze the relationship between acute ischemic stroke and PZ/ZPI system.Plasma APTT,PT,FIB and PLT,MPV,PDW,P-LCR were measured simultaneity in patients and control groups. Results:Protein Z levels was significant lower in acute ischemic stroke group than that in control group (1588.99±248.22ng/ml vs1943.69±159.51ng/ml),while recurrence group (1456.54±139.55ng/ml) was significant lower than incipience group (1688.26±266.13ng/ml). The severity of acute ischemic stroke was negative correlation with PZ level (r=-0.863, P<0.01).The onset risk of acute ischemic stroke increased significantly when PZ levels were below1600ng/ml (OR=9.2,95%CI3.94~20.56, P<0.01). There were no difference between AIS group and control group in plasma ZPI levels.Plasma FIB in AIS group (3.03±0.74g/L) was significant higher than that in control group (2.25±0.52g/L) and platelet parameters MPV, PDW, P-LCR were significant higher in acute ischemic stroke group when comparing with control group. Conclusion:Plasma PZ levels was significantly lower in initial stage of acute ischemic stroke and had negatively correlation with the severity of infarction.Lack of PZ might be an important risk factor for acute ischemic stroke.
