Background and puepose: Cerebrovascular disease is one of the majordiseases that seriously harm to human health, With the aging of society,Cerebrovascular disease incidence rate continues to grow. Cerebral hemorrhageis a common cerebrovascular disease which has a high morbidity andmortality. It seriously impact on human survival and quality of life.Mylin-associated inhibitor factors(MAIFs) is a nerve fiber growth inhibitorthat exists in the central nervous system myelin. It includes myelin-associatedglycoprotein(MAG)、oligodendrocy temyelin glycoprotein(OMgp)、Neuriteout-growth inhabitor-A(Nogo-A)and erythropoietin-producing hepato cellularreceptor interacting proteins-B3(Ephrin-B3) which has been discovered inrecent years. Their main functions are involving in the formation of myelin, maintain the integrity of the myelin and inhibit axonal regeneration. Ephrin-B3expresses in Oligodendrocytes, Oligodendrocytes is the main cells of whitematter, It participates in the formation of white matter axonal myelin. Thisstudy aims to observe and discuss the dynamic change of Ephrin-B3inserum at different time point after patients with acute cerebral hemorrhage, thento discuss its relationship with the degree of neurological deficits, blood lossand prognosis, and finaly to guide clinical diagnosis and treatment. Methods: According to the diagnostic criteria of Cerebral hemorrhagewhich has been reformulated at The Fourth National Conference oncerebrovascular, we divided30patients of basal ganglion region cerebralhemorrhage who was hospitalized on December2010to December2011intothree groups which are small, medium, large blood loss bleeding according tothe Head CT images and formulas to calculate the amount of bleeding. Then we reviewed the head CT on day3. National Institutes of Health StrokeScale(NIHSS)was recorded to assess the level of consciousness and neurolo-gical status on1days,3days,7days,14days. The levels serum Ephrin-B3wasserially determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Experimental results:1. Inereased Ephrin-B3level were found after aeute ICH within1dayswhich were significantly higher than the control group(P<0.01). The highestlevel of Ephrin-B3was found at3days.2. Aeute ICH within1days, Ephrin-B3level of the large blood loss groupwere higher than small blood loss group(P<0.01). Aeute ICH within3d,Ephrin-B3level of the large blood loss group were higher than small blood lossgroup(P<0.01). The Ephrin-B3level within1days was distinguishedassociated with the volume of ICH,analysised by Sperman rank correlationanalysis.3.The serum level of Ephrin-B3in Patient with ICH have Positivecorrelation with the NIHSS seores at each time Point.Experimental conclusion:1. The serum level of Ephrin-B3in Patient with ICH were significantlyhigher than the control group. The highest level of Ephrin-B3was found at3days. The level was associated with the volume of ICH.2. The serum level of Ephrin-B3in Patient with ICH have Positivecorrelation with the NIHSS seores.3. Ephrin-B3was involved in occurrence of intracerebral hemorrhagewhite matter injury and serum Ephrin-B3level after ICH may be the index ofpredicting the severity of white matter injury.
