Objective:To observe effect of respiratory function on two controlventilation modes to elderly patients using LMA supreme in general anesthesiaundergoing laparoscopic surgery. Methods: Sixty elderly patients were randomly assigned to two groups(n=30),pressure control ventilation group (PCV) and volume controlventilation group (VCV).HR,MAP, PETco2, Ppeak, Vt and Cdyn will berecorded during laryngeal mask airway (LMA) insertion (T0),beginning ofoperation (T1),5min during pneumoperitoneum (T2),30min duringpneumoperitoneum (T3),10min after pneumoperitoneum (T4). Meanwhileselecting arterial blood and finishing arterial blood gas analysis. Statisticaltreatment is completed with SPSS17.0package. Measurement data is expressedby mean(X)±standard deviation(s), Count data usingχ2test, P<0.05isconsidered as statistical significance. Results: Compared with PCV group, PaCO2and PETco2weresignificantly increased in VCV group(P<0.05), Cdyn were significantlydecreased during T2and T3.(P<0.05)Ppeak were significantly increased inVCV group during T0,T1,T2,T3and T4.(P<0.05)Conclusion: LMA used for elderly patients in general anesthesia, PCVcan provide efficient ventilation with lower airway pressure, it is of benefit toexchange O2and CO2,decreased effect of pneumoperitoneum on respiratoryfunction.
