Background:Gemcitabine was invented by Lily Company which is an anti-pyrimidine drug and is widely used in the treatment of lung and pancreatic cancer.Gem is low-toxicity and no cross-resistance to anthracyclines and taxanes, in recent years, gem is used in the treatment of metastatic breast cancer, and is recommended by NCCN Guideline.Vinorelbine is a semi-synthesis drug, which can stop the polymerization of tubulin and stop the cells in the mitosismetaphase. The efficacy of single Vinorelbine is30%-45%in the treatment of breast cancer and no cross resistance to anthracyclines,so it has important value in the treatment of metastatic breast cancer.Gemcitabine and Vinorelbine have different target points, and the combination of both drugs can improve the efficacy. Objective: Evaluate the efficacy of the combination of Gemcitabine and Vinorelbine in the treatment of metastatic breast cancer which was resistant to anthracyclines and taxanes. Observe the toxicity and influencing factors.Method:Twenty-eight patients with metastatic breast cancer, who had been previously treated with anthracyclines and taxanes were enrolled. They were treated by chemotherapy regimen of Gemcitabine and Vinorelbine, the efficacy is evaluated every two cycles.Result:The regimen of Gemcitabine and Vinorelbine got very good result in the treatment of metastatic breast cancer which were resistance to anthracyclines and taxanes. The ORR(%) was39%, DCR (%) was85%.Leucopenia was the most common toxic reaction. There were8patients who got Ⅲ degree White blood cells reduce,3patients who got IV degree White blood cells reduce, after the treatment of G-CSF, the white cells can recover. Other toxic reaction including liver damage and nausea and vomiting.
