Objective: To study the rule of the angle of inclination and degenerationclassification with age and sex in patient with lumbar spine degenerationdisease. Discussion on the relationship between the angle of Inclination anddegeneration of the Lumbar zygapophyseal facets,And the application ofmultislice spiral CT about the lumbar facets degenerative.Methods: The image data of245outpatient and inpatient patients withback pain has been collected in our hospital from September2010to December2011. The patients were in the same CT on helical scan. By sex and age groupswere measured in the L1to S1both sides of the lumbar facet joints in the tiltangle. Using the Vitrea2workstation to observe the images, and to analysis thefacet joint degeneration grading.Results: The quality of the image of245patients is satisfactory,andcomply with the diagnosis and measurement requirements,There is a gradualaccretion in inclination angle of lumbar zygapophysial joints from top to down,thereinto,(P <0.05). The differences of men and women at the angle ofinclination is not statistically significant (P>0.05). The one whose facet jointasymmetry lumbar spinal stability is poorer, compared with whose in thenormal range,and the classification is higher, and the vulnerable to causelumbar degenerative spondylolisthesis or pneumarthrosis. The bigger facetjoint inclination angle,The higher the degeneration classification. It has nosignificant differences in degeneration grading between men and women (P>0.05). The angle of inclination and classification between the various agegroups are increases gradually from top to bottom, and the difference issignificant (P <0.05). Conclusion: Through the use of the inspection and measurement ofMSCT and image processing technology, we have a better understanding in therelationship between the lumbar facet joint inclination and degenerationdegree.It provides excellent image data, the data measurement and diagnosticimaging provides a reliable basis for greatly improving the clinical diagnosisrate for back pain, especially the diagnosis of back pain root in the facet jointsdisease,It can provide a reliable guidance for clinical diagnosis and treatment.
