Objective:Colorectal cancer is one of the most common human malignant tumors, and one of the leading causes of death. In recent years, the incidence of colorectal cancer is upward gradually in our country, especially in the young aged group. The younger patients have characteristics of non-specific Symptoms, high rate of misdiagnosis and high malignancy. This study aims to discuss characteristics of the disease, differences of clinical and pathological features in young aged and middle aged groups, and summarizes features of colorectal cancer in young group in order to improve the early diagnosis level and treatment efficacy.Methods:Retrospective analysis of338patients performed radical resection of colorectal carcinoma in the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University from April2010to October2011. Summarized the Clinical manifestations, Surgical data, characteristics of tumor locations, patterns, Degree of infiltration, Pathological differentiations, metastasis of lymph node and distant organs in young aged group and compared them to the middle aged group. We should exclude Original colon cancer occurred Synchronously or metachronously, familial adenomatous polyposis(FAP), recurrence or metastasis of colon cancer and those who undertook chemotherapy.result:Colorectal cancer patients who were under44years had characteristics of high rate of lymph node metastasis, late tumor stage and low tissue differentiation compared to the middle aged group(P<0.05).Conclusions:we should disseminate the knowledge of Colorectal cancer patients who were un der44years prevention.Pay more attention into diagnosis and treatment of the young to improve early diagnosis rate and prognosis.
